While listening to the Grammys this year, I was inspired to record some new songs with a slightly different sound. This album is a blend of those tunes along with my renditions of favorite standards from over the years.

If you are familiar with my music you will probably hear the biggest difference in the accompaniment: finger snaps and the use of the Cajon on "Royals" and "The Happy Song" and a fuller orchestral sound on "Let It Go.: I hope other fans (I am hooked!) of the British drama series "Downton Abby" will enjoy my version of that theme. "Aquarium" is one of those gems I just discovered though it has been around for over a hundred years, which points to one of the many wonderful facets of music: its timelessness.
