Romantic love, a new love, a mature love, passion and ecstasy, pain and longing... mystery... all essential elements in the songwriter's repertoire. Essential because they are the themes which touch each of us and resonate with our own heart's deepest voice. My hat's off to the great songwriters who are represented here and address these timeless themes. One reason I chose to work with a vocalist is that these sentiments are so beautifully portrayed in verse. The other reason is that I was so taken by Mark Kershner's voice and the feeling he has for the music.
